Sandra Hannon, PhD
Consultant
With
more than 20 years of experience, Sandra Hannon, Ph.D. has extensive
experience building partnerships within the health care community
including those with the American Academy of Pediatrics, the National
PTA, the National Medical Association, and 100 Black Men. Her particular
expertise is building bridges between minority communities and health
care professionals.
She
developed community outreach, media relations and market research
programs for the National Youth Anti-Drug Media Campaign sponsored
by the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy where
she developed and implemented top-level outreach strategies and
tactics to reach general and ethnic audiences.
She
has extensive contacts in leadership organizations in the African
American, Asian and American Indian communities.
Her
clients have included the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention,
the Office of National Drug Control Policy and the University of
Vermont.
The
recipient of a number of national awards and a published author,
Hannon is a recognized health communications expert, and has been
quoted on Oprah Winfrey’s Oxygen.com and about.com.
